Unbounded Histories is a 2017 Barnes Foundation commission. The first contemporary work to be added to Barnes’ collection. A sound work listened to while in the Collection Galleries. A string of epic poems read in a trance inducing/art historical lecturer’s cadence. The narratives, a conflation of the art historical narrative and that of Hornick’s intuitive practice, animate and add motion in the mind’s eye of the viewer. The result is an experience of freedom in viewing and interpreting the images and their contextual relationships.

JOURNEYS: Sound Works for One Person Exhibition at Savery Gallery, Philadelphia, 2016
Each grouping of paintings has an accompanying sound work. The paintings are copies of historical works of women sitters with the addition of animals who offer transformation. The sound work weaves the art historical narrative with the artist’s intuitive narrative.
